MIKUNI SMOOTH CARBURETOR

These carburetors are available as a custom fitment for most models. This carburetor will significantly improve your starting, your flexibility, your power and torque in all conditions. Compact and lightweight design with a 40mm venturi and accelerator pump for excellent engine response. This provides a fuel economy gain and a significant increase in horsepower and torque on both stock and modified engines. The Mikuni 40mm SmoothBore Carburetor comes complete with choke cable, throttle cables, adapters, mounting clamps, KandN Filter and cover must be ordered separately. On late models with a through-the-head breather system, the Mikuni ZPN232224 kit should be used. On newer models with a through-the-head breather system, the Mikuni ZPN232224 kit must be used.
Note. On late models with CV type carburetor (Sportster since 1988 and Big Twin since 1990), the carburetor adapter (ZPN232196) should be used!!! On 1996 to present models the new styles of throttle and idle cable must be used otherwise the assembly would need to be replaced with an older style unit.
