5-SPEED SPORTSTER and BUELL CLOSED RATIO GEARS Andrews "S" ratio gear sets are a distinct advantage for modified performance and street bikes. “S” gears allow closer gear changes up to 1st. and 2nd. gear. Each set includes a new mainshaft gear and a new secondaryshaft gear with the ratios shown in the table at the bottom of this page. The "S" gears will fit all Sportster and Buell 5 speed transmissions from 1991 to 2003 without any modifications. The gears are made from aircraft grade high nickel alloy steel and then shot peened for maximum strength and durability. See the ratio comparison table., "S" 2nd ratio. gear set
