These pistons are made from forged 4032 alloy which has a silicon content of 11%. These pistons are formed in a forging press and then fully machined. The combination of this alloy and the forging process allows the piston to "bend" under detonation or pre-ignition, giving the best resistance to fracturing. The 4032 alloy has a low expansion rate but higher than the Keith Black hypereutectic pistons, it will require .001" more clearance. These Keith Black pistons are suitable for high performance and applications racing, including high compression and motorcycle with NOS. All pistons come with Hastings rings, piston pins and spiral clips. Where indicated they have an anti-friction coating.
