"All Balls" starters are more than a reproduction of the original starters used on all electric start Harley models from 1966 to 1988. They are completely redesigned and made in Canada from new parts and give a full starting power of 1.4 kW. . Prestolite type long starters are used on all electric start models through 1973, as well as FL models through 1982. Hitachi type short starters are used on FX models from 1973 to 1982 and all models from 1982 to 1988.
