For Panhead 1948-1965 and Shovelhead 1966-1984. These valve spring kits are not bolt-on items. Always be sure to check minimum spring spacing and maintain a minimum of 0.060" before coil binding, at full lift. Early 1948 thru 1980 heads must be machined to accept late style lower collars from AV&V. You may need to machine the spring seat with a spring seat cutter and/or machine the valve seats deeper to get the correct spring spacing. For reference, 1980-1984 Shovelheads have a valve stem projection of 1.630" and a spring spacing of approx. 1.375". All kits must be installed with stock lower clamps., For use with valve lift up to 0.625". Seat pressure 175 lbs.
