S&S V-SERIES ENGINE
Need to replace a worn Big Twin Evolution engine without breaking the bank? Or do you want to tear up the asphalt with a high-performance engine? Look no further as Zodiac offers a wide range of reliable SandS engines ranging from 80CI (1,340cc) to an impressive 124CI (2,035cc). SandS has tried the best combinations of bore and stroke, compression ratio, camshafts and so on and offers a warranty of up to 3 years. These engines have near stock height making them easy to mount in the stock and stock type frames of the 1984-1999 Softail, 1984-2000 FXR, 1990-1998 Dyna and 1984-1998 Touring. They are supplied with a Super E, Super G carburetor with an SandS teardrop air filter and also ignition as shown. Engines do not include an alternator stator and rotor. All engines are assembled by SandS technicians
Features and Optional
Super Stock Ignition
Single Fire ignition system with data logging which can be viewed via PC when equipped with diagnostic cable and SandS software (ZPN750747). Protects the motor with a 3-stage limiter for the first 24 hours of operation. Must be used with Single Fire coil.
Tappet Guides and Timing Covers
SandS V80 engines always have a timing cover and guides Cast pushers. All other Evolution type engines are equipped with a chrome cover and chrome tappet guides.
V80
The ideal engine to replace your old Evolution 80CI Big Twin. If you still have good ignition and good carburetor you can have an engine without carburetor, air filter and ignition. SandS bench tests have shown up to a 40% increase in power and up to an 18% increase in torque with this engine.
V96R
One of the most proven SandS products and ideal for replacing a tired Harley-Davidson Evolution engine. Equipped with SandS performance cylinder heads and flat pistons. Delivering exceptionally smooth power and incredible reliability, the value of this 3 5/8" bore motor is unbeatable. Up to 50% more horsepower and 40% more torque.< strong>
V111T
The V111 engine is designed more for torque than horsepower. With its short stroke of 4andnbsp.1/8" which is Equal to its 4andnbsp.1/8" bore this minimizes vibration. The relatively low lift of the SandS 585 cam and Beehive single-coil Sidewinder valve springs minimize valve timing noise. flexible, torquey motor which is ideal for applications where vibrations and noise can be a problem on a long journey such as on a Bagger.
V124
The V124 "Super Sidewinder Plus" is the largest SandS engine that still fits in a stock Evolution frame. Large 1.5" crank pin and .927" piston pins, large fins on the heads and cylinders, HVHP oil pump and equipped with electric decompressors for easy starting in all circumstances. SandS Dyno testing yielded almost 129 horsepower at the rear wheel and an impressive 137 pound-feet of torque. A high performance clutch must be used.
